LDS Home Storage Center

A great place to get your food storage from is your local LDS home storage center. First off I want to state that I am not affiliated with the Mormon Church and I am not trying to get you to join them. What I am telling you as these people have been prepping for years and are more than willing to share with everyone. You don’t need to be a Mormon to go to these centers. Below I will post three links so you can check them out for yourself. They say the foods will last 20 to 30 years with proper storage.

  1. Search for LDS Home Storage Centers (that’s the official name).

After writing this article, it has come to my attention that a lot of the LDS warehouses have closed or are running on a limited basis. So be sure to content them before going.

Here are a few more sources to stock up on food. Other sources would be places like Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, and online sources.

I use Costco a lot for my food preps, I know you are thinking isn’t that expensive? Well the answer to that is yes and no, it depends on what you buy. They have great prices on bulk items like rice, flour, salt, sugar, spices, and #10 canned foods. Just buy a little at a time each time you visit the store.
